Hey guys! We are only a few days away from Christmas now! I am super excited to bless you with these pics of my Christmas decor to help get you excited for the special week ahead.
My inspiration for the decor all started with the red plaid throw (which is actually just a cheap remnant I found from the fabric store, but shhh, don’t tell anyone). I have mostly stuck to a turquise sparkly feel the past few years, but was was feeling inspired to keep it simple and real this year. It has been a painfully, beautiful year of learning how to be more real, so the sparkly Christmas just didnt seem to fit this year.
I dont know about you, but I have been feeling less of a need to make things perfect, and more of a desire to just rest and be present with those around me. This year has been a tough one for sure with many challenges and breakthroughs. How about you? Has your year been a season of growing and being stretched?
I challenge you to take a moment to look back as to who you were a year ago compared to where you are at now. You have done a lot of work to get to this place now, haven’t you? Good job friend! What would you say was your biggest takeaway you learned this year?
Anyways, back to the pretty… this is my Christmas decor for this year, complete with burlap and plaid. What colors did you choose to decorate with this Christmas?
I feel like one of my biggest takeaways has been to simplify life. Let go of the clutter because in the end, it doesn’t matter. What matters is taking the moment for what it is, and make lemonade. So don’t worry about tomorrow, because today has enough trouble of it’s own. If we spend our days worrying about tomorrow but miss today… then what? What do we have to show for today?
In this, I have learned faith… faith that trusts that even in the deep of the deep, God is bigger than our troubles and He really does have good plans for us, so why do we worry? He’s got this, and He has got you my friend. So find joy today knowing that God is bigger than your fears, and He is working everything out for His glory and for our benefit.
As you go into the next couple of weeks, I pray you can put your work and worries to rest, and take time to breathe with that beautiful family of yours. Celebrate the Hope our Savior has given us and that He good plans for your new year ahead.
If your in need of a friend to process life with, call up someone who may need some lovin’ as well, and invite them over. We all need each other. We were not meant to do this life on our own.
Merry Christmas dear friend! I will see you in the new year~ And go ahead and pop your email below for more encouragement right to your inbox!

I love your encouragement always! I also have been trying to keep things simple. Our tree decorations are only white this year and we love it!
