Every year I ask the Lord for a word for the new year ahead and every year He gives me a word to encourage and direct my heart, full of promises for the new year. This is what I felt laid on my heart to share with you my beautiful friends;
Lift your eyes and see your redemption draws near. It is a season to rest dear child. It is a season to come and sit at my feet as Mary did. Sit at the feet of the Savior who came to set you free. This is where I am calling you to my child. To rest, trusting me for your tomorrows. Do not lean on your own understanding but be in my awesome presence. Come to me in worship. This is where the well to refresh your soul is for your day. This is where you find peace and strength for tomorrow. This is the place you feel my presence dear one.
Come before me with your offering of time. Rest and be less busy, creating margin in your life to come anew into my presence each and everyday. This is where the transformation of my love, and your identity in me begin.
Now rest and trust me for today, for tomorrow will be a new day with new beginnings and that my friend is enough for you today. Sit at my feet, for my presence is all you need. When you do, the rest of everything in your life WILL come into alignment. Practice and make this a habit in your daily life. This is where your strength comes from. Now rest in my presence dear one. I am the God almighty who saved you from the pit of destruction. Will you trust me today with your time?
Prayer
Father God, thank you for your presence that restores our soul. For the king of kings who draws us into His presence. How awesome and mighty you are Lord! Thank you Father for trusting us with amazing gifts to reach onto a hopeless world just by meeting the people we see everyday. Help us to create space in our day to seek your face and sit at your feet to know you personally and know your heart more. As we sit at your feet, we pray we are able to reach into this broken place around us pouring your presence and love into those we encounter. In Jesus name, amen!
