Hey friend! Good to meet you! Feeling stressed? Looking for simple ways to redesign your home? Grab a cup of tea and let’s chat. I will let you know a little about me and why I started this blog.
Oh wait, do you have your cup of coffee or tea yet? I’ll wait, but don’t forget to come back!!!:) Its the evening now so I am sipping on some tea while we get to know each other (otherwise I may be up all night if I have coffee;)!!!
Here’s my story…
In my early motherhood, I struggled with learning how to parent my sweet little girls. My marriage also struggled. I reached the point of brokenness. But that is where Christ met me. He lifted me up from the muddy mire pit and rescued me. He continued to work on my heart as I grew in Him. Life didn’t feel easy, but so so blessed as I grew in my faith in Him.
As my identity became so wrapped in His love, so did the opportunities. I grew in my prayer life and was called to share His love by starting a few local prayer groups to intercede for the hearts around us. We were blessed with our son, adding a third child to our clan. I also had a passion for interior design and never thought I could actually work in this field. I took a variety of interior design classes after finding no good homeowner resources out there to teach me how to decorate my own house (before the days of Pinterest;)!) Does that make me old;)??? I became certified in color consulting, staging/redesign, and interior design.
I had the opportunity to work alongside my husband Ryan and my in-laws with our home building company. It was building homes with them where I gained loads of design experience. I worked as a local interior designer but recently felt called to let go of design consulting to make time for you guys here, my growing teenagers, and our local building business.
We have many interesting adventures working together. Stay tuned for simple design advice and fun renovation updates as Ryan and I work on local projects together. Let’s just say it’s always a party when you work with your spouse:))) and I absolutely love it!
The broken places
While the world and many families are falling apart around us, my greatest hearts’ passion is to bring you simple life tools, for your heart to be restored, and for your home to find peace from the clutter. I pray you find freedom so your home can be a place of peace for you and your family to enjoy life together.
In Lisa Bevederes book a friend just gave me to read, it says;
Division starts close to home where divided houses are filled with wounded people with divided hearts
I pray this blog will bring you simple tools for your heart and for your home to be restored …because when your heart is restored your home is restored too.
