What is the forecast for home décor trends for 2020?
From farmhouse, to traditional, to modern style… it looks like the color is warming up. With lot’s of warm natural woods, dramatic color pops, and warm white’s with a clean black contrast. Home decor is becoming less perfect, into a simpler, more natural feeling space that tells your favorite story. Gone are the perfect homes. We are looking for an easy way to live, as life is busy and stressful enough as it is.
Here are the top 2020 home décor trends and how to incorporate this new look into your home
Simple
Simple and clean is the thing. We are all tired of over complicated and over decorated. We need a simpler life, and our home is the first place we can create that.
TIP ONE TO INCORPORATE THIS DECOR TREND INTO YOUR SPACE: Simplify by decluttering your home. Only keep what has a purpose and let go. Yes I said let go friend. I know, it can be hard to do, but you will feel better when you do. Find a home for everything so that all the clutter is gone. Let go of that over-styled space.

Natural
Choose natural pieces such as wood tones in your cabinetry, flooring, or your furniture and incorporate real live plants.
TIP TWO TO INCORPORATE THIS DECOR TREND INTO YOUR SPACE: Add a few real live plants in your home and keep them growing! This has become a huge hobby trend according to my sister (good thing she helps keep me in tune with the latest people trends;)). Add a few natural wood toned items such as baskets, wooden cutting boards, wicker chairs and even replace some of your existing lighting into basket pendants for an earthy look!

Warmer greys and whites, dramatic blacks, pastels and rich deep saturated colors are your color choices for your home décor trends
Incorporating pops of color such as deep shades of green, navy blues and golds in your accent furniture, cabinetry and/ or walls, is super huge right now. Or keep it soft and neutral with off white walls or warm soft grays. Pastels are apparently in as well. So, basically color is back, baby.
TIP THREE TO INCORPORATE THIS DECOR TREND INTO YOUR SPACE: Paint your walls off white and a rich colored accent wall and colored accent pillows. Or paint your cabinets in a pretty emerald green. Or add just a couple pieces in a rich shade of gold or navy blue. Add in a couple deep colored throw pillows, and your look is complete!

Modern
Clean, rounded edges and playful modern furniture works perfectly with the simplicity of this new decade.
TIP FOUR TO INCORPORATE THIS DECOR TREND INTO YOUR SPACE: Let go of those curly over detailed pieces of furniture, and keep your furniture simple and clean. Make your space cozy by incorporating those rich colors and lots of texture.

Playful patterns
Florals, geometrics, plaids and vintage patterns are a fun way to soften up our modern spaces.
TIP FIVE TO INCORPORATE THIS DECOR TREND INTO YOUR SPACE: A new throw rug, some fun wallpaper in a small bathroom or office, and some new pillows for your sofa will introduce these patterns and colors into your space.
